Materials & Product care

Our jewelry is made of bronze, surgical steel, titanium, brass, natural pearls and semi-precious stones. They are plated in the following ways:

  • Gold plating is mainly done on surgical steel and brass. The material is soaked in a gold solution, which creates a special coating on the material. The amount of gold used for gilding is about 0.05%. Electroplated jewelry retains its color and shine for a long time, but it is necessary to remove the jewelry before bathing. Put on jewelry only after applying creams/perfume and take it off during physical activity when excessive sweating occurs.
  • Gold filled is jewelry in which 18k gold is infused into the base metal. It is a thick layer of gold that is applied to the primary metal and is very resistant to water and sweat. You can wear gold filled jewelry all the time, they are waterproof and hypoallergenic. In essence, they are a cheaper alternative to gold, where the gold layer on the jewelry remains for many years and at the same time you do not invest in raw gold, which is many times more expensive.

  • PVD plating is a process where a material goes from a condensed phase to a vapor phase and then back to a thin film condensed phase. It is an outer coating on the primary metal, mainly steel or titanium. PVD-plated jewelry is 10 times more durable than gold-plated jewelry. This is the most durable and ecological method of plating. The jewelry is resistant to water and sweat. We perform PVD plating mainly on rings, which are the most stressed of all jewelry.

  • Bronz - Bronze is a very durable and hard metal. Our jewelry is made of raw golden bronze, which is very similar in color to 18k gold. Since it is the primary color of the metal, you don't have to worry about it "wearing off" over time, as is the case, for example, with gold-plated jewelry. A natural property of bronze is oxidation, similar to silver. Due to the large proportion of copper, bronze oxidizes over time, which can be easily solved by polishing the jewelry with a cotton cloth, which you receive for free with every order. You can soak the jewelry in spring water and then polish it with a cloth, and the bronze will return to its original color and shine. For some skin types, bronze can oxidize in similar green spots on the skin, which is completely natural and not harmful to health. It's just copper's natural reaction to skin and sweat pH. This can be prevented by coating the jewelry with colorless nail polish in the places where it comes into contact with the skin. We treat bronze jewelry with a surface layer so that oxidation occurs more slowly and you don't have to take care of the jewelry as often.

ATTENTION!! All types of gilding are only a surface treatment of the material, which is not permanent.
